What Can I Expect?

When I tell people I am a Reiki practitioner, often times they smile and nod. Then they become serious and ask "What is Reiki?" "What is a Reiki session like?" I totally understand that reaction. The 1st time
someone offered to do a Reiki session for an injury that I had, that was my reaction, too! Following is an excerpt from Reiki.org:
"Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It......is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. In a standard treatment Reiki energy flows from the practitioners hands into the client. The client is usually laying on a massage table but treatments can also be given while the client is seated or even standing. The client remains fully clothed. The practitioner places her/his hands on or near the clients body ...based on the clients needs".
These are photos of my studio ~ a warm and inviting space. I use a massage table and conduct my sessions with my hands slightly above or near my client and have had the feeling described as a "warm aura".
Sometimes results are immediate and dramatic, while other times they are more subtle. While we can never predict the outcome of a session, you can be assured they are always positive and for the highest good.
A session in my studio will last approximately 1 hour including time to chat about your reasons for coming and any experiences afterward.
I hope this helps with any questions or apprehension you may have about booking a session!
